TRX-An Honest Review
Also known as "Total Resistance Exercise"
Hello Friends,
Yours truly is a big fan of TRX. Ok, I hear the murmurs “what is TRX and why is Scott a fan?”
TRX is a system known as “Total Resistance Exercise.” TRX is suspension training that was developed by former U.S. Navy SEAL Randy Hetrick. Great! But what is suspension training? (So many questions.)
Suspension training uses one’s body weight in an awesome workout. The device you use is called the “trainer”, but some refer to it as “bands” and it is hanging from a support above you. Thus, “suspension or suspended”. It’s a Total Body workout that can be done in less than a half hour and it doesn’t take up much room at home. You can pack the “trainer” in your suitcase when you are traveling. It can be used it a hotel or in your friend or relative’s home while you are visiting. I first was turned on to TRX back in the early 2000’s by my personal trainer. I was hooked! Like I mentioned it is a Total Body workout that works just about every muscle in your anatomy. Upper body, core, back and lower body. It’s easy for you to tailor the workouts for your exercise level.
I am a “Qualified TRX Trainer”. I got my qualification around 2008 when I took the classes at the TRX Headquarters in San Francisco. Later, when I became a personal trainer in Grants Pass, Oregon and then in San Diego, California TRX was an integral part in my client’s sessions.
